Map Fog

Map Fog variable documentation for the Map System

Last updated 2 years ago

Map Fog Update Delay

Determines how often the map fog should update. Expressed in seconds. The lower this value, the more often the map fog will update, making the clearing of it appear more smoothly. However, this will add a higher impact on performance.

Map Fog Resolution

Defines the resolution of the map fog. Higher resolutions will give a smoother look at the edge of explored/unexplored areas, but will add a higher impact on performance.

Map Fog Reveal Radius

Determines the screen size (as a radius) of the fog reveal brush.

Use Mask for Fog Reveal

If enabled, the fog reveal brush will be in the shape of Fog Reveal Brush Texture. If disabled the fog reveal brush will be a generated circle with a falloff at the edge.

Fog Reveal Brush

Texture used when Use Mask for Fog Reveal is enabled. Note that textures used should have compression settings set to UserInterface2D (RGBA) and texture group set to UI.
