# GetNPCIcon Function

Look for the newly added interface function called **GetNPCIcon** and open it. You can either set the output variable “**Icon**” directly in the return node, or use a variable as shown in the picture below. This icon will be used to determine what the NPC looks like on the compass, and in the maps (if enabled).
