Unreal Launcher

An alternative to the often clunky Epic Games Launcher

Last updated 1 year ago

What is Unreal Launcher?

is an alternative launcher for working with the Unreal Engine created by Unreal community member Nathanael Anderson (also known as ).

A lot of people find the Epic Games Launcher to be clunky, slow and bloated. It can take quite some time to initiate, even longer to load all your projects and even has a habit of just being unresponsive for periods. Unfortunately Epic have not seen fit to give us a separate launcher just for the Unreal Engine. While you can work with the engine exe files directly to avoid it, it makes working with marketplace content and such quite difficult. Unreal Launcher lets you do most of the things that the Epic Games Launcher does when it comes to the Unreal Engine, meaning you can keep the Epic Games Launcher closed and out of the picture.

Please note that this product is still early on in development, and the current version sits at 0.0.13.

Why are you telling me this? What do you get?

Nothing. I personally dislike relying on the Epic Games Launcher for the reasons mentioned above, and much like the page on Orbital Market, I just want to help spread word about a software that, I believe, is superior to the one Epic provide us. There's no financial gain for myself or for the creator of the launcher, and I am in no way affiliated with the creator.
